Ice Cream Sandwich

A recent tweet which was nice enough to include us in the lineup of food bloggers in Doha, along with the comment:  “Proof that dining is integral to #LifeinQatar”.  And, we couldn’t agree more. When you meet up with friends here it tends to be around a dinner table, coffee table or picnic blanket, so it’s important to find places that allow you to concentrate on each other’s company. There’s nothing worse than sloppy service or menu mix-ups that distract you from the hot gossip, or happy announcement.

Thankfully at Roger’s Diner recent new menu launch, which we were fortunate to be invited to, the conversation flowed, new food recommendations were discovered and arrangements for further meet-ups made.  We highly rate the service (we’ve been once before and it was just as attentive), and the décor, menu and presentation of food is all very appealing.

This aviation-themed diner is a fun place to be, and the playful attitude extends to the menu with a great American line up of burgers, salads, hotdogs, burritos, fajitas and meat dishes.  There’s a wide range of sharing combos and the desserts are big enough to be spilt between a few of you to lessen the guilt, so it’s definitely the casual dining place to come to with family and friends. Although there’s no way anyone’s trying that Panko Fried Tilapia Fish… it’s ALL mine.

Being the gluttons we are we decided to try a range of items.

Here’s a little gallery of what we ate:
