MoQ aka the Mall of closed restaurants

When the Mall of Qatar opened, we considered it the epitome of in-mall dining. A destination to go to dine, watch a movie, shop, and watch important sports games… Did anyone else catch a World Cup game here?

The dining options in Mall of Qatar included some of our favourite casual dining restaurants, which are now sadly closed:

Five guys
TWG cafe (we loved their set lunch and dinner menu)
La Casa
Diner station (especially the Asian counter)
Icons coffee couture
Nandos
Paul (how on has this closed?)
Le Pain Quotidien
Cioccolat Italiano
Texas Roadhouse
Eggspectation
Eataly
New York Fries
Filcori Coffee (miss their coffee)
Build it burger
Three lines
Hassan Kolcougulu
P.F.Changs
Shakespeare and Co.

The restaurants in Mall of Qatar are now turning into a standard affair with a lot of ‘meh’ choices such as:
Jollibee’s, Akkawi, Mcdonalds, KFC, Papa Johns, Pizza hut, Cheesecake factory, L’eto, Godiva, Asha’s, Debs w Remman, Shake Shack, Jwala, Mokarabia, Starbucks, Coffee Bean and Tealeaf, and Baladna.

When’s the last time you visited Mall of Qatar? And, which mall offers your favourite dining options?
